Common
The backbone of every deck. Reliable and available.
Uncommon
A step above. Stronger abilities and better stats.
Rare
Hard to find. Powerful effects that can shift the game.
Legendary
The pinnacle. Legendary cards define strategies and eras.
POWER
How much damage this Forgekin can take (its HP). A Forgekin is defeated when its total damage equals or exceeds its current Power. Power cannot be reduced below 1.
CHAOS
Represents the instability of your forces. Add together the Chaos value of all Forgekin on your side of the battlefield. If the total is 20 or higher, you must perform a Chaos Check before attacking. Higher Chaos means higher risk — but potentially higher reward.
CONTROL
Determines how much damage this Forgekin deals with a Basic Attack.
PASSIVE
Always active while this Forgekin is in play. Passives trigger automatically — no action required. They can affect your Forgekin, your opponent's Forgekin, or the overall game state.
ABILITY
Used once per turn instead of attacking. Abilities are your strategic tool — they deal damage, apply status effects, buff allies, debuff enemies, and more. Choose carefully.
Status effects are applied by abilities and passives. They persist between turns unless removed.
Burn
Deals 1 damage at the start of its controller's turn. Does not stack. Persists until removed or the Forgekin leaves play.
Chill
Reduces the affected Forgekin’s Control by 1. Persists until removed or the Forgekin leaves play. Does not reduce Power and cannot cause defeat.
Weaken
The affected Forgekin takes 1 additional damage from every damage source. Persists until removed or the Forgekin leaves play. Does not stack.
Armor
Reduce all damage dealt to this Forgekin by 1 until the start of your next turn.
Stun
This Forgekin cannot Attack or use its Ability during its controller's next turn. It may still be swapped, and its Passive effects remain active. Remove Stun at the end of that turn.
Poison
Each application adds 1 Poison stack, up to 3. At the start of its controller’s turn, each stack deals 1 damage, resolved one at a time.

Stage 2
Mega
Forgekin can evolve through up to four stages. Higher evolution stages are generally more powerful but harder to field. The Evolves From / Evolves Into fields on the card show the chain.
EVOLUTION RULES
Forged in Fire cards are engraved onto anodized aluminum in several different metal finishes. These finishes are purely cosmetic and collectible—they do not affect gameplay, card stats, abilities, or rarity.

IMPORTANTMetal Finish Variants are completely separate from card rarity. A Gold version of a Common Forgekin plays exactly the same as a Black version of that same Forgekin. Card rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary) is determined by the card itself—not its metal finish.
